Panic Exit Devices
This class will provide hands-on experience in the installation of panic exit devices of various types, including rim exit devices and surface-mounted vertical rod devices. Exit-only devices and various exterior trims will be introduced. Building and Fire Codes will be also discussed as they apply to panic exit device installation. This program does not require approval under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005.
Criminal Record Check NOT Required.

- Taps with proper drill size for 8-32NC w/#29 drill, 10-24NC w/#25 drill, 10-32NC w#21 drill, 12- 24N
- Centre punch
- Taps and Tap Handle: 10-24 and ¼ X 20
- Square
- High Speed Steel Drill Bit Set. Including: 1/8, 5/32, 7/32, 5/16, 3/8, 9/16, 13/64.
- Drill Motor: Cordless or electric with spare batteries and charger or extension cord.
- Hole Saw: 1 ¼” Bi-Metal Hole Saw with Arbor and Pilot Bit
- Wood Chisels: Various Sizes
- Screw Drivers: Various sizes of Robertson, Phillips and Slotted (flat)
- Level: No longer than 24". (Smaller is better)
- Scratch Awl or Centre Punch
