Paul A. Bentley TCPL
Paul Bentley began his Locksmith career in the 1970’s as an apprentice at a Toronto locksmith company. In September of 1974, he began working at Able Lock Service Limited, the company he has owned since 1986. After taking over the reins at Able Lock Service, Bentley expanded the business to two storefront locations and five service vehicles. The company enjoys many long term contracts as well as on-demand service for commercial, industrial and residential customers.
Bentley is a founding member of the Academy of Locksmithing (1986) and has played an active role at the academy during most of his career – both by being an Instructor and a Member of the Board in one capacity or another. (Including President and Secretary/Treasurer). The courses Bentley teaches include: Door Closer Installation, Codes & Code Machines, Tubular Locks, Interchangeable Cores, Master Keying, Class 2 Electric Circuits, Electric Strikes, Card Access and Exit Alarms.
Bentley is a current member of The Association of Ontario Locksmiths (initial membership in 1976) and has also served the Association in many capacities – including President, Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer, Trustee and Director. Bentley is also a current member of ALOA and SAVTA. Included among his many certifications are the following organizations: Cansec Card Access, Abloy, Medeco, Primus/Everest and LaGard.
